Martin Berger

Martin Berger is a Hawaii attorney and owner of Hawaii Debt Solutions, a Better Business Bureau accredited debt relief and bankruptcy law office. His practice is limited exclusively to solving people’s debt problems. Over the last 20 years he has helped thousands of people get a fresh financial start. 

He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans.  He later returned to Tulane where he received his Juris Doctor law degree (JD) with honors and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with honors. He was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society.

After graduation, he received his license to practice law in Texas, where he formed his own firm in the city of Austin. His practice focused on Bankruptcy and Family law. During this time, he was voted Best Family Lawyer by the Austin Chronicle.

Martin had been certified as a Specialist in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Specialization and became the first person to receive a Certificate of Specialization in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the Hawaii Supreme Court.

Although he lives in Honolulu now, Martin lived in Hilo for 14 years where he had a bankruptcy law office there and in Kona.  During this time he was also an adjunct professor of Business Law at UH Hilo.

Martin is a past President of the Hawaii Bankruptcy Bar Association, is licensed to practice law in all Hawaii State and Federal Courts, and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
